"Shaolin Kempo Academy has been a part of the Shoreline communities including Branford, East Haven, North Branford, Fair Haven and Morris cove since 1984 making us the oldest and longest running martial arts and fitness school in the area. We have a class for pretty much every member of the family ages 3-103. Tiny Tigers 3-6 yr olds (think karate pre school) Kempo - 7 - adults (self defense based class with an emphasis on character development through martial arts training) Kick Boxing - both kids and adults (Incredibly fun and a killer workout) Yoga 12-adults - improve flexibility, stress relief and general well being with this combination of Yin, Vinyassa and Gentle Flow class. Zumba - Dance fitness" Established in 1984. Our school has been here since 1984 when it opened on Main street as a small martial arts school. In 1996 Master Ross took over as the Chief instructor and latter purchased the school. Since then SKA has undergone a metamorphosis from a chain karate school to a one of a kind Martial arts fitness facility.
