History of the founder and President of the Tang Soo DO MI Guk Kwan Associations Grandmaster C. Ferraro began his training as a boy in 1967. the first time he recalls was like watching an eagle soaring high in the currants .the instructor movement were graceful but so powerful . Grandmaster Kwan Jang Nim-Ferraro has studied many Martial arts over the years. Tang Soo Do has always been Kwan Jang Nim Ferraro s first love. Having been his first art to study he continues training and teaching it to this day. Having many excellent teachers in Tang Soo Do, He began studying with Sa Bom Nim H.C. Hwang [son of grandmaster Hwang Kee of the Tang Soo DO moo Duk Kwan Fed] November 1976 this is to whom Kwan Jang ,Nim accredits all of his suburb skills in the Martial Arts. Kwan Jang Nim Ferraro also would like to acknowledge the teaching that brought him to embrace the proper attitude and sprit in the martial arts 8 First place national team sparring championships and 4 Seconds place National team sparring finishes Established in 1975. West Haven Academy of Karate has been serving West Haven since 1975. We are the oldest full-time martial arts institution serving the southern Connecticut area. We strive to provide physical and character skills to enhance both adults and children in their daily lives.
