Confidence and character development. Students develop their confidence here over time through their physical abilities. This can be physical confidence for sports and other activities, mental confidence, and social confidence with being able to resist unhealthy peer pressure and not fall into the wrong crowd.We also have a rewards program right from the beginning of a student starting with us called the Colors of Character. It focuses on students learning the 3 rules we have in the school of self control, respect for others, and self discipline.Another area we specialize in, are being able to effectively teach different age groups. We have specific lesson times for each age range, rather than just lump everyone together in one room for convenience. We do this due to the fact that every age group learns differently, and want different things out of their training. We have classes for 3 & 4 year olds, 5 & 6 year olds, 7 to 11 year olds, Teen classes, and adult only classes. Established in 1989. Villari's Martial Arts Centers has been serving the community of West Hartford since the late 1980's. Since that time the studio has taught thousands of students, helping many of those reach their Black Belts and go on to many great things in their own lives.In 2008, we had a major change in management, with the welcoming of our current Chief Instructor.The most recent changes have been within the last few years. There has been a very positive shift in how classes are run, including a well planned and comprehensive curriculum, a class for each group based on age, free monthly self defense lessons for adults, a comprehensive premium program where personal training is included, trial lessons to teach a student the basics before joining the regular class, and many other changes that have allowed us to give the best possible experience to a student.
